At its foundation, Veritable Data is an innovative platform that uses blockchain technology in a specialized way. Unlike public blockchains like Bitcoin or Ethereum, Veritable Data employs a custom-built blockchain specifically designed for notarial and real estate needs. This specialization allows for better security and efficiency in handling sensitive documents and transactions.
The platform consists of three main integrated components:
First, there’s VeritableData, one of its features constituting a comprehensive notary directory, which serves as a centralized database of verified notaries. This provides a trusted source of information about legitimate notaries, helping prevent fraudulent notarization.
Second, the Veri-lock mobile application introduces a modern solution to ID verification. Traditional ID verification often requires physical presence and manual checking of documents. Instead, Veri-lock performs this process instantly online, with all verification data being immediately recorded on the blockchain. This creates an immutable record of each verification, significantly enhancing security and trust.
Third, TitleShield focuses specifically on real estate transaction security. Real estate fraud, particularly title fraud, can be devastating and costly. Title Shield acts as a protective layer, using the blockchain’s immutable nature to create verifiable records of property transactions and ownership.

How Veritable Data Works?
Let’s break down how Veritable Data’s blockchain system works to prevent fraud and handle real-time ID verification, as these are two of its most crucial technological features.
Custom Blockchain: Starting with the blockchain architecture, Veritable Data’s blockchain is unique as it is custom-built for notarial and real estate transactions. Unlike public blockchains that need to handle all types of transactions, this specialized design allows for faster processing of document verification and more efficient storage of notarial records.
Veri-lock – Real Time ID Verification: The real-time ID verification process through Veri-lock works in several steps. When someone needs their ID verified, the application first captures their identification document using the device’s camera. Advanced computer vision algorithms analyze the document for security features like holograms and microprint. Simultaneously, the system performs facial recognition to match the person’s live image with their ID photo. This entire process happens in a matter of seconds.
What’s particularly innovative is how this verification data is then handled. Every verification creates a unique digital fingerprint (hash) that gets recorded/ stored on the blockchain. Think of it like a digital notary stamp that can’t be forged or altered. If someone later tries to tamper with the verification record, the system would immediately detect the discrepancy as the hash wouldn’t match.
TitleShield – Preventing Real Estate Fraud Before It Happens: Once a user signs up for TitleShield, they are presented with their own user name and password to be able to login to the TitleShield portal. Within the portal, all the properties of the owner are listed, this data is pulled from Blacknight, the largest real estate aggregator in the USA.
When any property transaction takes place, TitleShield notifies the property owner of the change. The property owner logins into the TitleShield portal and verifies if the change was an authorized change or a fraudulent change and accordingly marks the property as “Safe”. It creates a blockchain entry that links together the verified identities of all parties, the notarized documents, and the property details. This creates what we call a “chain of custody” for property records.
The system’s strength comes from how these components interact. For example, when a notary uses Veri-lock to verify someone’s identity, that verification is automatically linked to any documents they notarize in the system. This creates a complete, tamper-proof record of who verified what, when, and for which transaction.

Integration of External Services: The first phase involved integrating Title Shield and the Veri-lock mobile application into the Veritable Data ecosystem. Custom-built APIs were developed to ensure consistent and secure data flow between platforms, allowing verified information to be shared in real time. Special attention was given to data consistency, ensuring the accuracy of notary and verification data across all systems.
Blockchain Architecture Development: A custom blockchain solution was implemented to securely store and retrieve immutable notarial records. The blockchain was designed specifically for notarial and verification processes, ensuring data integrity and security. This system allowed for efficient access to sensitive documents, and its decentralized nature ensured that records remained tamper-proof and immutable.
Data Synchronization & Real-Time Updates: To address the challenge of real-time data synchronization, we developed robust APIs and status tracking mechanisms to connect Veri-lock with the Veritable Data platform. This allowed for real-time updates of notary information where they could also view their notarizations performed on the Veri-lock application, ensuring both platforms displayed consistent and up-to-date information. Real-Time ID Verification and Document Signing: We integrated advanced 3rd Party ID verification tools that processed identification documents quickly and accurately, meeting all compliance and security standards. Additionally, we implemented a digital signature feature that adhered to legal requirements while providing a user-friendly experience. The system ensured that users could sign documents securely online, with digital signatures that met industry standards for legality and compliance.
Security and User Experience Focus: Throughout the development process, security was a top priority. All data exchanged between systems was encrypted, and additional layers of security were added to ensure data integrity and protection. Meanwhile, we maintained a strong focus on delivering a seamless user experience across all platforms, ensuring that users could easily access and interact with all features without compromising security.
Developing an Intuitive Admin Dashboard: We utilized Angular to create a robust admin panel that would serve as the backbone of the new system. Through the integration of Title Shield, users of the platform were able to get instant notification if any change was made to their property and the system would prompt them to check and verify the change and to mark it as “Safe”.
Next, with the integration of the Veri-lock mobile application, the system achieved seamless real-time synchronization, enabling users to view verified notary information across both platforms instantly.
